Well-known Aussie portable fridge specialist Evakool has introduced a new range of imported, polypropolene Travelmate fridge/freezers.
Designed as a more affordable option to Evakool's popular, locally-manufactured white fibreglass range, the new Travelmate features a sleek new design and latest digital controls.
The six-model range comes in two styles: end-opening lid with 38, 45 and 50 litre capacities, and side-opening lid with 50, 65 and 80 litre capacities.
All models feature a fully insulated base and removable and reversible lid, basket and internal divider, internal LED light, three-stage low voltage
battery protection, a USB port to run small devices up to 0.5 amp and a drainage bung for easy cleaning.
A Danfoss BD35-F compressor powers the 38-65 litre models while the larger capacity Danfoss BD50-F powers the range-topping 80 litre unit.
The fridges can be powered by 12V, 24V or 240V, and have been designed to operate on angles up to 30 degrees.
The digital controls allow temperature settings between -22 and 10 degrees Celcius, and the fridges will cool up to 55 degrees below ambient.
Also standard is a heavy duty handle that can be used as a tie-down point, and incorporates a magnet to prevent rattling. Also included in the price is an insulated cover and all cables required to run the fridge.
The Travelmate fridges are backed by a five-year warranty and nation-wide support from more than 100 service centres.
Prices range from $1079 to $1399.
