Less than two years after setting up shop in the UK and being lauded for its stylish new range of slide-out models, Eterniti Caravans has been placed in administration.
The Cheshire-based manufacturer, which unveiled its first prototypes in early 2012 and sold its first van in March last year, closed its doors last week, with administrators stating the company “is not in a financial position to fulfil outstanding customer orders or refund customer deposits”.
The news comes after well-publicised production issues with its first batch of cutting-edge caravans, which were notable for their innovative 'eazzzzyslide' slide-outs.
Eterniti was the fourth UK caravan manufacturer in recent years to hit the Australian market, when Queensland’s Elite RV announced in late-2013 an Australian-spec version of the range-topping Genesis slide-out model priced from $84,900.
As well as customers that have placed orders for Eterniti caravans facing significant losses, it’s believed Eterniti Caravans’ managing director, Phil Daniels, sold his business Eterniti Steel to fund the new caravan business and is out of pocket millions of pounds.
