Australia's first Jayco dealer is packing up shop, with the announcement that Page Bros RV will cease to be a Melbourne-based Jayco dealer at the end of this year, after close to 50 years selling Jayco caravans and campers.
The family owned and operated Page Bros RV became a Jayco dealer in 1976, just after Jayco built its first campers. The business was started by Trevor Page and his brother, with Page's son Steven taking over the reins and in charge of around 50 full-time staff.

After running one of the most successful caravan retail businesses in the country on a massive three hectare site in the Melbourne bayside suburb of Seaford, Page Bros RV was forced around four years ago to move to a new site after the State Government compulsorily acquired its land for a rail yard.
A fire destroyed one of the buildings at the new Page Bros RV retail and service facility in Moorabbin in 2023, before the dealership moved again to a new site about 10km away in Springvale about a month ago, and then announced this week it was going to no longer be a Jayco dealer.
"After proudly representing the Jayco brand for 50 years, Page Bros Jayco will officially cease operations in December 2025, marking the end of an extraordinary partnership that began with Jayco in 1976," Page Bros RV said in a statement.
"Following the government acquisition of Page Bros’ iconic Seaford site and despite our very best attempts, we have been left with no option but to step back from the business."

In an interview with caravancampingsales at the massive and modern Seaford dealership in 2012, Steven Page said that Page Bros had operated on the same site since the 1960s when his dad, Trevor and his brother (no longer part of the business) started selling used caravans.
As a dealer for Sunwagon among other brands, Trevor Page met Jayco founder Gerry Ryan, who was working in Sunwagon’s factory at the time. A year after Jayco commenced manufacturing in 1975 Page Bros became one of the first Jayco dealers.

At the time the Page Bros' mega-dealership covered three blocks, with the front fence alone measuring 200m. The space was big enough to display around 180 new RVs (not to mention 200 used vans), and included examples of every current Jayco caravan, motorhome, pop-top, camper and toy hauler, as well as most layouts and options.
“Everything’s represented. We don’t have the single bed version and the double bed version, but we’ve got everything they do,” Page said.
Five years later, in 2017, Page and his father were outraged after learning that the Victorian Government as part of its crossing removal program, was going to compulsorily acquire the Seaford site for a new rail yard.
“They should bugger off and look elsewhere,” a furious Stephen Page told the Herald Sun at the time.
“We are going to be fighting (the decision). We are very, very upset.”

Page Bros RV currently has around 80 new and used RVs for sale on its website, which are on display at its latest site at 893-895 Princes Highway, Springvale.
"Effective Tuesday, 23rd December 2025, Page Bros Jayco will no longer operate as a formal Jayco dealer. The business will, however, continue reduced operations until all remaining stock is sold, ensuring a smooth and supportive transition for customers," the dealer said on social media.
Meanwhile, Jayco Australia has promised to support customers affected by the changes.
"While Page Bros RV will be winding up operations, Jayco will continue to honour all warranty, service and parts commitments for customers who purchased through Page Bros, with ongoing support available through Jayco’s nationwide dealer and service network," the 50-year old manufacturer said.
It's also created an information page for concerned customers on its website.

While a loss to Jayco owners and potential buyers residing in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs, Jayco has another large dealer located in Melbourne's eastern suburbs; as well as dealers in a number of Victorian regional centres including Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat, Bairnsdale, Mildura and Albury-Wodonga.
