Fledgling Queensland camper trailer builder, Ellis Recreational Vehicles, has introduced a new compact, entry-level model that boasts an impressive 510kg Tare weight.
“Force 220 is the lightest off road camper trailer in its class, thanks to its cutting edge vinylester infusion body shell combined with quality Australian parts,” the company says on its website. The Force 220 camper rides on a galvanized, triple drawbar steel chassis with a locally-built parallel axle, 10in electric off-road brakes. Oz Hitch off-road hitch, and 16in alloys with mud terrain tyres.
“(The) Force 220 features military wrap springs with rubber bump stops and shock absorbers, or upgradable to the very latest in adjustable independent suspension," Ellis Recreational Vehicles’ boss Paul Ellis said.
The tiny trailer also features an 85kg tow ball mass and 1400kg ATM. The camper body measures 2.2m x 1.9m wide, and it has a travel length of 3.2m and travel height (with roof-top tent fitted) of 1.8m.
Set up for off-road travel, it also boasts a 700mm wading depth and 350mm minimum ground clearance.
“Force 220 offers you a tough and reliable go anywhere trailer with superior off road performance ,” Ellis says.
Priced from $22,500, the Force 220 comes standard with a 100Ah battery and 15amp battery charger, two-burner cooker, 12V tap, LED lights, USB and 12V outlets, two 60 litre water tanks and an external gas hot water shower.
The Evakool 45L fridge is optional, as is the roof-top tent and awning.
