Remember the Elite V Studio, a unique 12ft concept caravan designed to deliver a Gold Class cinema-like experience?
The maker of this compact, home theatre on wheels, Melbourne’s Elite Caravans, has now incorporated the design into one of its more traditional layouts to deliver what it says is “the ultimate caravan theatre package”.
Launched at the 2013 Queensland Caravan, Camping & Touring Holiday Show, the 24ft Murray HTV touring van includes a four-berth leather lounge at the rear, featuring a pop-up 60inch Sharp LED TV hooked up to an LG Blu-Ray surround bar and Fusion multimedia unit.
The rear lounge also converts to a bed, while other premium features include an up-spec kitchen with 186 litre three-way fridge, centre bathroom, queen sized bed, Ibis air-conditioner and Al-Ko electric stability control.
Elite Caravans’ owner Adrian Cappola reckons the Murray HTV (Home Theatre Van) is “better than most purpose built residential home theatre rooms” and “could revolutionize the caravan industry”.
“It’s purpose built to provide a mobile luxury environment for movie lovers,” he said.
“There is no doubt Murray HTV owners will become a magnet for campers and a talking point at any campsite. We must warn new owners it creates popularity and/or jealousy.”?
Elite Caravans has a history of cramming top-end home audio-visual equipment into its caravans, introducing on earlier models the first pop-up 40in TV as well as a $16,000 Bose surround sound system.
Also on display at the show was a 24ft Elite Atlantic model, which takes alfresco entertainment to a new level thanks to a 32in TV and sound bar neatly mounted behind a custom-built exterior hatch.?
Having the option to roll out the red carpet and invite a couple of caravan park neighbours over for a screening of the latest Hollywood blockbuster doesn’t come cheap however, with the Elite Murray HTV displaying a ‘show special’ price of $112,990.???
