An enticing crop of in-demand motivational speakers will inspire and inform RV industry figures from around the world at two major RV conferences in Melbourne next month.
Delegates to this year’s Caravan Industry Association of Australia National Conference will hear presentations from former Australian soldier and Victoria Cross recipient, Benjamin "Ben" Roberts-Smith, and Australia’s second-longest serving prime minister, John Howard.
Other speakers at the National Conference, to take place at Melbourne’s Grand Hyatt hotel over three days from February 27-March 1, include expert brand strategist Duane Knapp, and Australian businessman and TV presenter, Eddie McGuire.
Described as the largest educational event for the Australian caravanning and camping industry, the National Conference has this year been given the theme ‘Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Noticed.’
“This year especially the theme is important, reflecting the need for the industry to make some bold and brave moves in order to ensure we are properly recognised – and that government, media, and consumers notice us, ” said Caravan Industry Association of Australia CEO, Stuart Lamont.
The National Conference immediately follows the 3rd World RV Conference, to be held at the same venue from February 25-27.
Held for the first time in Australia, the World RV Conference also offers an impressive line-up of speakers, including founder and chairman of IBISWorld and respected ‘futurist’, Phil Ruvthen AM, Club of Rome member and international relations expert Keith Suter, and disabled motivational speaker Tony Christiansen.
Leading industry figures from North America, South Africa, Japan, Europe, Canada and Australia will also address delegates on the ‘state of play’ in their respective RV regions.
“This year our National Conference follows on from the World RV Conference – the third of its kind – clearly demonstrating Australia’s place in the industry globally, and putting Australian caravanning and camping front and centre on the world stage,” said Lamont.
