Heavy metal music and caravans don’t go together, right?
Try telling that to German RV giant Hobby, which has come up with a stealth black caravan with rock ‘n roll interior so cool even Metallica would go away in it.

One of the most popular exhibits at this year’s Caravan Salon Dusseldorf, the one-off model was inspired by Germany’s Wacken Open Air, the world’s biggest heavy metal festival.
Trainees from the Hobby factory took three months to pull the project together, including designing the distinctive matte black and white foil wrap for the body.
Step inside and there’s everything a head banger could want, including comfy black leather corner sofa, big flatscreen TV with thumping sound system and Playstation, E-guitar with illuminated strings, onboard beer pump, and black and white skull bedspread on the rear double bed.
There are two fridges including a blue-lit bar fridge and a bigger one with its door signed by heavy metal hard-hitters including Tom Angelripper from Sodom/Onkel Tom, and Mikkey Dee from Motörhead.
Underneath all that sinister warpaint is Hobby’s single-axle Premium 560 CFe model, which retails for around $23,000 Euro in Europe, but the extra accessories and parathernalia add around 7000 Euro to its value.
It’s all for a good cause though, with the van currently up for grabs on the German eBay site (bidding ends September 9) with all proceeds to the Wacken Foundation, which supports up and coming metal bands.
And if the new owner ever tires of the satanic look, the black wrap can simply be peeled off to reveal the original white gloss exterior underneath…
