'Double-header' for Queensland showgoers this month
Queensland's industry-backed caravan show calendar hits double time with back-to-back August exposThe frenetic rolling road show that is the Australian caravan show calendar continues apace, with Caravanning Queensland organising a new 'double-header' in August.
The Queensland industry body is delivering two back-to-back expos later this month: the returning Let's Go Sunshine Coast Caravan & Outdoor Expo (August 21–23), followed not long after by the brand-new Let's Go Ipswich Caravan & RV Expo (August 28–30).
The Sunshine Coast show returns to the Nambour Showgrounds, while Willowbank Raceway is the site for the inaugural Ipswich event.
Caravanning Queensland currently runs five annual shows, including Brisbane's Queensland Supershow held in June.

Decent turnout expected
Backed by $14,000 in support from Ipswich City Council, the inaugural Ipswich Caravan & RV Expo is expected to attract more than 12,000 visitors over the three days.
Caravanning Queensland CEO Jason Plant said the back-to-back show weekends provide the member-backed RV industry with a reach they've never had before.
“The Sunshine Coast show launched in 2019 because the industry told us there was a gap, and it's performed strongly ever since," he explained.
"Ipswich is the same, the region and the industry asked for it, and (we're) excited to be delivering it in a new and different way to our existing events."
Not only is the Ipswich event the first dedicated caravan show for the region, it also offers a raft of festival-like features including onsite camping, a daily motocross show, custom-built off-road track, cooking demonstrations, kids' activities, live music and fireworks.
Also on display across both shows will be hundreds of the latest caravans, motorhomes, campervans, camper trailers, slide-ons and outdoor adventure products, to suit a range of budgets.
The Talking Towing team will also run daily VANSafe Masterclasses at each event, covering tow vehicle and caravan weights, safe loading and driving techniques.
