Five models in Dometic’s upgraded Waeco CFX portable fridge range now feature the latest Wi-fi technology, which allows you to control and monitor the temperature of your unit remotely via an app on your smart phone or tablet.
The Wi-fi equipped units range from the smaller 34.5 litre CFX35W fridge to the big capacity 94.5L CFX95DZW model, which can hold up to 133 cans according to Dometic. However, some models like the dual zone CFX 65DZW fridge miss out on the handy new feature.
Most of the new models are constructed with a polypropylene cabinet and lid, while the biggest 94.5L fridge features a polypropylene lid and cabinet made from ABS and painted zinc steel.
Dometic, which recently introduced an across much of its range, says the updated CFX range inherits many of the features of the previous models. These include the Variable Motor Speed Optimisation feature that ”enables the compressor to optimise the cooling speed of the unit through automatic selection between ’soft start’ and ’turbo’ modes”.
The CFX range also boasts ”a robust lid, latch and hinges, strong factory fitted, spring loaded handles and a USB charging port.”
Other features on the upgraded range include a dimmable display, inbuilt three-stage battery protection, and interior multi-point LED light with magnetic switch.
A flush-mounted evaporator plate and drain plug are also included to make cleaning easier, while baskets include one or two removable dividers, depending on the model.
A number of optional accessories are available include an insulated protective cover and in-car fixing kit and slide.
Pricing for the Dometic Waeco CFX Wi-fi range starts at $1199.
