After years of supplying many of the top-end appliances that go inside Australian-built RVs, from cooktops and ovens to fridge/freezers and air-conditioners, European RV accessories giant Dometic has expanded further into the great outdoors, releasing a new range of tents, awnings, gas barbies, generators and even chairs and tables, aimed more at younger car campers than older RV owners.
The new Outdoor Leisure range from Dometic includes a number of stylish tents and annexes, using the latest AirFrame technology instead of poles for support, as well as lightweight roof-top tents aimed at owners of big 4WD vehicles.
Also new is a couple of Euro-style inflatable awnings and tent annexes, either standalone or designed to be attached to a particular style vehicle.
To go with its popular range of portable fridges and eskies, Dometic is also introducing a new Weber Baby Q-style portable gas barbeque, lightweight two-burner camp stove and portable gas oven, as well as a Honda-style petrol inverter generator.
There's even a new line of Dometic camp chairs, tables and camp stretchers, to cover all bases. However, some of the new products won't go on sale in Australia until August.
The inflatable tents range in price from $999 to $3399 for the biggest six person option, while the roof-top tents cost from $1999-$2499 depending on size, and the three portable gas cookers range from $179 to $399.
The camp chairs are priced $149-$179 while the new Dometic portable gennie retails for $1599.
