Keep your TV and mobile devices going with new portable, sine wave inverterDometic has released a new compact, lightweight inverter, designed for outdoor enthusiasts away from mains power for extended periods.
The Dometic MSI 412 pure sine wave inverter will convert 12V battery power into pure 230V AC voltage and it has a USB port that allows rechargeable devices like a tablet or laptop to be hooked up. It will also help power TVs and DVD players.
Weighing around 1kg, Dometic says the unit is easily installed in a caravan or boat and provides 350W, peaking at 700W for devices requiring a high start-up current.
Built-in safety mechanisms include an automatic shutdown in the case of over or under voltage, excess temperature or if a short circuit occurs.
