Not content with a dominant share of the Australian RV appliance and accessories market, Dometic has rolled out yet another new product for 2018 in the form of its latest slimline RUC upright compressor fridge.
Described as a “new benchmark in RV refrigeration” and already fitted to Jayco’s range-topping Silverline caravan, the new 218 litre RUC fridge features a tall, narrow cabinet to provide a smaller footprint without compromising on storage capacity.
The slimline design also solves the problem of having to remove a window in the caravan or motorhome to remove or install the fridge, as unlike similar capacity fridges it should fit through the entry door.
Designed for Australian conditions, the new RUC fridge features a T-rated cooling system and built-in circulation fans to cope with temperature extremes, and a stylish new control panel with user-friendly “selection wheel” and colour display. There’s also a humidity control feature for the full-width crisper and flexible shelving arrangements.
The black, two-door, 216 litre compressor fridge/freezer runs on 12V or 240V power and has a RRP of $3100.

The release of the tall yet thin RUC 8408X compressor fridge follows the release earlier this year of a stylish new Dometic slide-out kitchen, rooftop solar panel, folding step, Milenco hitch lock and new invertor and charger from the Swedish company.
Designed for style as well as functionality, the Dometic slide-out kitchen (RRP $2950) incorporates a three-burner cooktop, sink with mixer tap, timber cutting board and a drawer fridge.
The new Dometic aluminium folding entry step features a large stepping area and 225kg load capacity (RRP $149), while the lightweight Dometic RTS150 150W roof-top solar panel (RRP $265), meets the needs of remote RV travellers.
Along with these new products, Dometic will have on display the latest Truma VarioHeat central heater with digital control panel, at the upcoming NSW Caravan, Camping and Holiday Supershow.
