Global RV and camping accessories giant Dometic has entered an agreement to buy leading Australian RV lithium battery business Enerdrive.
While not disclosing the purchase price, Dometic said in a statement that the Enerdrive acquisition would broaden "Dometic’s offering and distribution network in the Pacific region... The acquisition also increases Dometic’s presence and know-how in the fast-growing market for mobile solar power solutions."
The Swedish-based multinational said Enerdrive’s 2020 net sales were approximately $28 million "with a good operating margin" and that Enerdrive has a large service and aftermarket network of more than 1200 dealers.
Brisbane-based Enerdrive has 45 employees and supplies mobile power products, including solar panels, batteries and chargers to the RV, marine and commercial passenger vehicle markets.
"I am pleased to welcome Enerdrive and its employees to Dometic," Dometic President and CEO Juan Vargues said.
"Enerdrive is our third announced acquisition this year and our pipeline of potential acquisitions in the near future remains strong."
Dometic also announced it will acquire Front Runner Vehicle Outfitters – a global provider of camping and 4x4 accessories headquartered in South Africa – and also recently added American grill manufacturer Twin Eagles and US service and RV aftermarket product provider Valterra to its portfolio of brands.
