Expect to see more British motorhomes on Australian roads soon, with Auto-Trail dealers in Sydney and Adelaide recently stumping up for $7million worth of new imported stock -- or around 45 motorhomes.

On a recent visit down under, joint director of Auto-Trail UK, Stuart Turpin signed an initial deal worth $2million with John Munro, director of Auto-Trail’s new South Australian dealer, Camperagent.

While the Sydney RV Group in Penrith, has committed to an order of 2015 Auto-Trail motorhomes valued at $5million.

Darren Nye, director of Queensland-based Elite RV which has been the official distributor of Auto-Trail motorhomes and Elddis caravans since mid-2012, said the two bulk orders were a sign of confidence in the Auto-Trail brand.??

“With over 30 years manufacturing experience, Auto-Trail are the UK’s leading luxury motorhome manufacturer building a staggering 1500 coachbuilt motorhomes per year.  That’s more than all of the Australian manufacturers combined,” Nye said.

As well as recently becoming the exclusive South Australian dealer for Auto-Trail and Elddis, Nye said Camperagent will “soon be moving into its new multi-million dollar RV Exhibition Centre, which promises to be one of the most modern and impressive showrooms in Australia”.

He said Auto-Trail motorhomes will also soon be available in Western Australia at a new dealer, joining Auto-Trail outlets in the five eastern states.
