Expect to see more British motorhomes on Australian roads soon, with Auto-Trail dealers in Sydney and Adelaide recently stumping up for $7million worth of new imported stock -- or around 45 motorhomes.
On a recent visit down under, joint director of Auto-Trail UK, Stuart Turpin signed an initial deal worth $2million with John Munro, director of Auto-Trail’s new South Australian dealer, Camperagent.
While the Sydney RV Group in Penrith, has committed to an order of 2015 Auto-Trail motorhomes valued at $5million.
Darren Nye, director of Queensland-based Elite RV which has been the official distributor of Auto-Trail motorhomes and Elddis caravans since mid-2012, said the two bulk orders were a sign of confidence in the Auto-Trail brand.??

In Australia, the Fiat Ducato-based, UK-built motorhomes are currently available in five models and a variety of layouts, priced from $129,000 for the entry-level Auto-Trail EKS to the latest Scout SB with twin single beds from $171,500.
As well as recently becoming the exclusive South Australian dealer for Auto-Trail and Elddis, Nye said Camperagent will “soon be moving into its new multi-million dollar RV Exhibition Centre, which promises to be one of the most modern and impressive showrooms in Australia”.
He said Auto-Trail motorhomes will also soon be available in Western Australia at a new dealer, joining Auto-Trail outlets in the five eastern states.
