Dave Hughes at Adelaide caravan show

According to the organisers, this year’s Let’s Go Caravan and Camping Show from February 13-17 at the Adelaide Showgrounds, will be the “biggest ever” in the event's long-running history.

However, it could also turn out to be the funniest, with a wise-cracking line-up of celebrities set to entertain crowds on the main stage throughout the show, headlined by well-known TV and radio host and stand-up comedian Dave Hughes.

‘Hughsie’, who will take the mike on the centre stage at 1pm, Saturday February 16, is one of a handful of TV personalities performing at the show, including 'South Aussie with Cosi' TV host, Andrew Costello, Spida and Sheree Everitt from the 'Great Australian Doorstep', and Craig ‘Macca’ McGowen from 'Whats Up Downunder'.

On a more serious note, a number of RV experts will be conducting educational seminars as part of a series of free ‘Masterclass’ sessions throughout the show, covering topics as diverse as top South Australian fishing spots and 4WD tracks, tyre pressures, emergency radio, RV electrical systems and generators, UHF radios and antennas, RV toilets and towing.

A round of the ‘Up in Smoke’ BBQ cooking competitions will also take place during the show, and for the kids there will be a ‘Wild Imagination’ play zone, plus the chance to win one of 10 dome tents as part of the Camping Kids Trail Pass competition.

If you’ve got any time left after all that, there will also be hundreds of the latest caravans, campers, motorhomes, tents and accessories on display, from a range of state-based and national brands, with plenty of ‘show specials’ on offer to tempt buyers.
