German EV start-up Electric Brands has revealed its latest range of battery-powered vehicles, including a compact Kombi-style motorhome.
Previously marketed as eBussy, the new Xbus range was created to sit on a dedicated modular platform developed for small pure-electric vehicles, and comes in a range of body styles including regular minivan, delivery van, tipper truck, pick-up, chassis cab and campervan.
Electric Brands says its cute pop-top camper is powered by "electronically controlled four-wheel drive recuperating electric motors (with) and an output of 1000 (plus) Nm torque."
The standard 10kWh battery delivers a range of around 200km, but this can be expanded to 30kWh with optional exchangeable batteries to boost the range to 600km. The 3945mm long by 1690mm wide camper has a GVM of 1600kg, to deliver a payload of around 800kg.
As can be seen in the video above, flexible solar panels cover the roof, including the rear pop-top section, with the rear tailgate opening and a rear compartment sliding out to expand the living area.
Interior access is also provided by conventional driver and passenger front doors, and a side rear-hinging 'suicide' door.
Most of the living space is taken up by a 210cm x 130cm sleeping area, but there's a small kitchenette behind the front seats which includes a fridge, single burner cooker, fresh water tank and sink.
The Xbus camper will be offered in a range of bright exterior colours, and priced around £30,000 (AUD$44,500). First European-market deliveries of the German-built EV camper are expected to take place in 2023.
