Cub releases smaller pop-top hybrid

Sydney's Cub Campers has introduced a smaller new 14ft pop-top model to its ever-growing full composite hybrid caravan range.

Joining the 16ft H16 pop-top and fixed roof L16 and C16 Cub caravans, the new single axle H14 pop-top is priced from $84,990, or $5000 less than the bigger H16, and features a cosy couple's internal layout including a fixed north south 'king' bed, two separate leatherette upholstered seats each with a swivel table, and a small kitchenette and combination shower/toilet at the rear.

Set up for some dirt road driving, the new Cub H14 pop-top will ride on basic AL-KO ‘Square Axle’ independent suspension with twin shock absorbers, an off-road ball coupling, 12in electric drum brakes, ARK jockey wheel, and 17in alloy wheels with all terrain tyres.

Externally, it also comes with an electric pop-top roof, a roll-out awning, outside shower and a fridge slide and pull-out kitchen with sink and three gas burner cooker, along with a front toolbox, twin gas bottle and jerry holders and a mesh stone guard.

The Cub H16 also comes standard with 100L fresh water and 100 grey water tanks, and a 150Ah lithium battery system with Redvision display and 360W rooftop solar, along with a diesel hot water and space heater, pillowtop mattress, water filter, and four speaker audio system.

Cub says the the two berth pop-top will weigh in at around 1790kg Tare with an ATM of 2500kg, and measure 6.445m long overall, 2.5m high and 2.23m wide when towing. It will also have an internal height of 2.035m with the roof raised.

Options include extra lithium batteries and solar panels, a 3000W inverter, rooftop air-con, a dust reduction system, 110L fridge, Sirocco fan, Smart TV, airbag suspension and a rearview camera.

Cub Campers is currently taking deposits from buyers who'd like to secure one of the first production slots for its latest H14 model. It's also enticing buyers with a limited run of “First Edition” H14 pop-tops complete with special badging and up to to $5000 options included in the price, plus a bottle of Cub “First Edition” single malt whiskey.

Meanwhile, Cub Campers is also offering $5000 free options on other Cub caravans, and a free Webasto diesel hot water/heater (worth up to $5400) and free awning upgrade on some of its camper trailer models. The deals are available until the end of April 2024 as part of its Cub Blockbuster Sale.
