Cub Campers has announced a refreshed line-up for 2026, which includes the return of the once-popular Brumby hard-floor rear folding camper trailer.
The Brumby is known as Cub's largest rear-fold camper model with more than 6.5m of under-canvas living space, and was part of Cub's 2024 line-up before it was pulled from the range as the 57-year old Sydney manufacturer focused on its upmarket composite caravan line-up.

The Brumby is one of five camper trailer models being offered by Cub in 2026, ranging in price from $29,990 for the lightweight, rear-fold on-road Weekender to $52,990 for the double fold off-road Drifter, which Cub describes as "Australia's finest 4x4 family camper trailer".
Priced from $38,990, the 920kg Tare/1600kg ATM, MY26 Brumby is equipped for rough road adventures with a galvanised chassis, independent coil suspension, 17in alloys with Kumho AT52 rubber, a 100Ah lithium battery system, LED sensor lights, and an 80L water tank with a 12V pump and a hand pump.

Inside, there's a queen size pillowtop mattress, with the fold-out tent canvas material supplied by Wax Converters, while outside there's a stainless pull-out kitchen with two burner gas cooker and a sink, fridge box and slide, with the option to add a BBQ slide, extra gas bayonet and a fold-out side shelf.
"Proudly family-owned and Australian-made, Cub has spent 57 years perfecting the art of reliable, adventure-ready caravan and camper designs," the company says on its website.
"The 2026 Cub Brumby is a reflection of that legacy; combining proven durability with smart, modern engineering trusted by thousands of Aussie travellers."

The 2026 Cub camper range also introduces new exterior body colours including pale eucalypt, paperbark and night sky, while the entire range now comes standard with Redarc electrical components and a seven-year structural warranty.

Cub is also offering six models for 2026 in its growing hybrid composite body range, including the low-profile F14 hybrid, the new limited edition H16 LE, and the C18 Luxury Hybrid.
The range-topping C18 luxury caravan released in mid-2025 has also been updated for 2026, and now comes standard with Cruisemaster ATX 2.8T airbag suspension, plus a bigger 600Ah lithium battery system with 1080W rooftop solar (a 900Ah battery upgrade and 3000W inverter are options).
The MY26 Cub C18 caravan is available with couple and family layouts, priced from $164,990.

Meanwhile, retired Cub co-founder Roger Fagan recently returned to the long-standing Sydney factory to record some videos about all the labour-saving in-house automated processes that now go into building a Cub camper.
Not only is Cub Campers the oldest camper trailer manufacturer in Australia, it's one of few remaining local camper trailer builders that has survived the impact of a flood of cheap imported 'copycat' campers over the past 15 years...
