It's official!
One of Australia's biggest caravan manufacturers has moved into a large new state-of-the-art factory in Melbourne's north that boasts double the production capacity of its previous manufacturing plant.
Crusader was originally aiming to move into its purpose-built new 15,010sqm Melbourne production facility in early-2022 but the date was pushed back by several months due to COVID-related delays.
The big-selling caravan builder made the announcement on social media, including a video tour of the large factory floorspace that will roll out Crusader's main range of large touring and off-road caravans as well as its latest compact composite CRV models.
The 21-year old manufacturer said last year the modern factory located at the new 4Ten Epping industrial estate in Melbourne’s north "will feature sustainable design elements, a high clearance warehouse space, a state-of-the-art office, recessed loading docks and on-grade rolling doors".
Crusader is the latest Melbourne manufacturer to move into a new purpose-built facility in Melbourne's northern suburbs, after Network RV opened its new head office and production facility earlier this year.
Founded by former caravan plumber Serge Valentino, Crusader started off building caravans under the Dreamhaven name in 2001 and now employs more than 100 staff and sells its vans through a nationwide dealer network.
