Embattled Campbellfield manufacturer Colorado Caravans has been placed in liquidation, with the factory shutting its gates earlier this week.
According to an online notice, company members decided to wind up the company on December 5, with Michael Carrafa and Richard John Cauchi appointed as liquidators. A date for a creditors’ meeting has not been announced, and the news comes just over a month after the family-owned and operated business entered voluntary administration.
Colorado is the latest low-volume Melbourne caravan builder to call it quits, with both Diamond Caravans and Billabong Caravans recently going into liquidation.
According to the Colorado website, the family business offered a range of touring, off-road and toy hauler caravans and had "over 15 years experience in the industry".
