Coromal goes Green

Green RV opens fourth dealership on Sunshine Coast, solely for Perth-built vans
Fast-growing caravan dealer group, Green RV, has opened its fourth dealership in Australia, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
However, unlike other sales yards run by Green RV, a family-owned company that has been in the caravan business now for more than 15 years, the new Queensland outlet will only sell models from a single manufacturer: Perth’s Fleetwood RV, which builds Coromal and Windsor caravans and camper trailers.
Green RV’s other outlets in Melbourne, Brisbane and Gympie stock Melbourne-built Regent and ‘NeXtGen’ caravans, the Queensland-based firm’s ‘home brand’.
Ideally located on the Bruce Highway for passing traffic, the new Coromal/Windsor dealership is on a big four-acre (16,500 sq.m) fenced site formerly occupied by a truck dealership, at 6 Owen Creek Road, Forest Glen.
Prior to opening last week the 1745sq/m office building and workshop facilities were refurbished, and new signage fitted across the 150m wide street frontage.
The new Sunshine Coast outlet fills a gap for the Perth RV manufacturer in the prime Queensland city market, with other Coromal/Windsor dealerships located either south around Brisbane or further north in Bundaberg.
Green RV boss Jack Green said the new yard will stock a comprehensive range of Windsor and Coromal caravans, pop-tops, expanders and camper trailers, including the new Windsor Hybrid which is expected to arrive next week.
“We have roughly 40 Coromal and Windsor caravans on display, as well as workshop and spare parts facilities; it’s a big yard,” he said.
The new outlet brings to 16 the number of Coromal/Windsor dealers in Australia, and Green didn’t rule out opening up other Coromal/Windsor outlets, including the possibility of one in Melbourne.

Fleetwood RV is yet to announce a replacement for its former inner-city dealer, the Melbourne Caravan Centre, which went bust earlier this year.

“Anything’s possible in the future, but at the moment we’re concentrating on the Sunshine Coast outlet because we have a very good opportunity here. It’s a good spot with a lot of stock,” Green said.
More details about the new Queensland dealer including the caravans in stock, should be available soon on the Green RV website, while a special “opening event” is being planned possibly around late-August.
