After sifting through thousands of entries Jayco has finally chosen the winner of its 50th Anniversary 'World's Greatest Job' promotion.
Jayco's "official RV correspondents" are professional content creators Hannah and Sam, who together run the creative agency and marketing business Point Footage Creative Studios.
According to their website they've already worked with more than 50 travel-related clients including a range of tourism and hospitality operators both in Australia and overseas, from the Editory by the Sea hotel in Portugal and Alexander House & Utopia Spa in the UK, to the M Hotel Danang resort in Vietnam and Airlie Beach Helicopters in Queensland.
Hannah has a background in professional dancing and lifestyle modelling while Sam is described as a skilled videographer and editor.
"Hannah and Sam truly stood out with their passion, adventurous spirit, and knack for storytelling," Jayco said when announcing the winner on its Facebook page.
"Now, they’re ready to hit the road and share amazing journeys, expert tips, and unforgettable RV experiences with all of you. Stay tuned for their official introduction and get ready to be inspired by their travels."
To get an idea of what it took to score the prized Jayco job, the experienced vloggers and seasoned travellers posted back in June on Instagram their official submission, or the successful 'job application'...
The couple recently also posted a 'thank-you' video on Instagram, after claiming the prize which includes the keys to a Jayco motorhome for the 12-month contract period, a salary and travel allowance, as well as camera gear, phone and a laptop.
The official journey kicks off on October 10, with the pair aiming to drive 10,000km during the 12 month trip.
The plan is to head up the east coast from Melbourne to Cape York, stopping off at a few places including a trip to Fraser Island (K’gari), then heading back south, through Adelaide, over to Kangaroo Island, before finishing off with a lap of Tasmania.
The Jayco motorhome is an 8.0m long Mercedes-Benz Sprinter based Destiny model, valued at around $180,000, and the pair will be travelling with six types of camera equipment including a drone, so we expect some exciting footage to pop up along the way on the couple's social media channels...
