New Age Caravans isn’t the only Melbourne manufacturer marketing a special edition model.
Concept Caravans, located just 10km up the road from New Age, has introduced a limited edition version of its popular, budget-priced Belmont caravan.
Almost a year ago Concept celebrated production of its 4000th caravan after eight years in business, and the company is now marking the upcoming 1000th Belmont caravan built with the 50-only Belmont 1000 Series model.
To make them stand out from the rest, each Belmont 1000 will be individually numbered via a special plaque on the exterior. They also come with special silver aluminium cladding, black checkerplate front and side panels, burgundy and black decals, black checkerplate toolbox on the A-frame, outdoor entertainment hub for TV/DVD viewing, and Al-Ko electronic stability control.
The interior has also come in for some special treatment, with the latest computer designed and built, solid plywood furniture featuring Stylite acrylic glass doors and Italian metal cupboard catches, leather-trimmed seating with pull-out footrests, and the choice of two, “hand-picked” interior decor selections.
On display at last week’s Melbourne Leisurefest, the limited edition model is available in two body lengths: a 19ft 6in model priced from $62,490 towaway and 20ft model priced from $64,990 towaway.
Each van has the familiar layout of north-south double bed at the front, dinette/lounge and kitchen along the middle and separate ensuite running along the rear.
