Concept Caravans recently completed its 5000th van since opening its doors in Campbellfield, Victoria in 2004, cementing its place amongst Australia’s top-selling caravan manufacturers.
To capitalise on the milestone, and to celebrate its recent purchase and national distribution of the long-standing Franklin brand, it’s produced uniquely-equipped 10th Anniversary Concept and Franklin models that will be available Australia-wide throughout 2015, each priced at $63,990 tow away.
The Concept version is based on the popular 21ft Innovation, which features a front boot and has a Tare weight of 2200kg, while the Franklin model owes its genes to the bootless and slightly lighter 20ft Arrow. Both have 130kg ball weights.
The distinctive feature of both Anniversary models is their standard silver exterior high profile aluminium cladding with distinctive digital body striping, with matching 4mm ‘Blue Atoll’ Lustrolite kitchen splashbacks and feature panels.
The leather seats back of their identical café-style dinettes are also monogrammed in blue, while another feature of both dinettes is their clever extendable foot-cushions that can support up to 130kg and hence can double as two extra seats for visitors.
Each has a different ensuite to their host vans, with a larger moulded separate shower and a cupboard tower beside the china bowl Thetford toilet, with the lower section designed to hold a generator and accessible from an external hatch.
Other standard items of Anniversary models are Al-Ko Electronic Stability Control, 15-inch wheels and a water filter.
Concept Caravans CEO Keir Smith said the Anniversary models are not limited editions and the factory will produce as many at the discounted package price as demand requires.
