After developing a reputation for building some of the best soft-floor offroad camper trailers in Australia over the last 20 years, NSW-based Complete Campsite has expanded its range to include two hard-top models and a new hard-floor camper.
The new-look Complete Campsite range featuring white-painted bodies and a new logo incorporating the company’s ‘We Go Further’ slogan, was displayed for the first time in Melbourne at the 2011 Victorian Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow.
"With the launch of the new hard-floor and hardtop range we thought it was time for a new look," explained Complete Campsite's managing director Grant Joyce.
?
The company’s new two-model hardtop range is essentially based on models previously manufactured by Exodus Campers, but with a number of changes and improvements. ??"Exodus has been around for about eight years; they were one of the first companies to bring out the hardtop off-road camper trailer,” Joyce said.
"The (Exodus Campers) were originally made to go into a box trailer… we remolded the (fibreglass) bottom section and made them a little bit wider so we could fit the queen size bed in there," he said.
The largest Exodus 11’ model, with an 11 foot long body, now includes an internal shower and toilet as well as an inside and outside kitchen.
The hot water system and external kitchen have been upgraded, but the rugged, independent trailing arm coil suspension remains unchanged.
Complete Campsite also plans on reintroducing a smaller Exodus 9’ model after further development work.
After recent displays at the Adelaide and Newcastle RV shows, Complete has already taken a number of orders for the new Exodus, with an earliest delivery date of around November if you were to order one now.
Exodus pricing starts at $57,950 for the 11 foot model, while the Exodus 14’ starts at $68,500 (the display model pictured is $76,000).
Joyce said the new Byron, the company’s first hard-floor camper, utilizes many of the features found on its award-winning soft-floor models.
"It’s got all the gear we put in the top-of-the-range soft-floor, like diesel hot water system, ducted heating, shower, BBQ, fridge, generator…" he said.
"It’s easy for one person to open and close, and comes with full independent suspension, heavy duty square box framing, and all Australian canvas."
Pricing for the hard-floor Byron starts at $39,950.
Complete Campsite has just moved into a new 4500 square foot production facility in Sydney, where it assembles and manufactures most of its campers’ components in-house.
Other than the new exterior look, Complete Campsite's existing soft-floor range has also been given some "little tweaks" including improved kitchen slides and a better power system.
