Sydney-based, imported camper and hybrid specialist Signature has debuted its sharply-priced new range-topping 18ft Omaru family hybrid hardtop caravan, at the 2025 NSW Caravan Camping Touring Supershow at Rosehill Gardens.
Sitting atop the Signature Camper Trailers range with an RRP of $94,990 plus on-road costs (or for a limited time $89,990), and also available with a couple's layout, the new 18ft (body length) Omaru measures 7300mm (travel length), 3100mm high and 2350mm wide and is backed by a lifetime structural warranty.
The plated Tare of the six-berth, triple-bunk family Omaru model displayed at the Sydney show is 2960kg, with a 240kg towball download, and a 3500kg ATM (4000kg ATM optional).
Key features on the show van include a dust reduction system, diesel heater, washing machine, rooftop air-con, Smart TV, powered awning, and a hot-dipped gal chassis with a Cruisemaster DO-35 coupling, while suspension is a dual axle, coil spring independent set-up with dual Tough Dog shocks.
Wheels are 16inch alloy shod with 265/75R16 mud terrain tyres, brakes are 12inch electric, and the body side and roof panels are fibreglass sandwich panels, with a honeycomb composite floor and orange-painted steel brush bars.
The large family-friendly internal layout offers a front lounge-dinette (that converts to a bed), a slide-out queen bed over the axles opposite the kitchenette, while up the back there are triple bunks and a bathroom with separate shower cubicle.
The up-spec energy system -- a 48volt Ecoflow Power Hub with 1000watts of roof mounted solar, 3600watt AC inverter, AC/DC switching and three 5kWh lithium batteries -- is intended for long off-grid stays with ample ability to power heavy draw items, with Signature claiming the system is equivalent to a 1250Ah 12V battery set-up.
Water supply is generous too, with a 360L capacity, while an integrated Truma 240volt/gas hot water system, two 4.5kg bottles and two 20L jerry can holders, an external hot shower, pillowtop mattress and Ark off-road jockey wheel are also included in the price.
All-weather cooking is covered off with an internal kitchenette fitted with a twin induction cooker and fridge, and an external slide-out kitchen with a four-burner gas stove and a stainless sink with mixer tap and dish rack. There’s also a neat, small external pantry above the nearside wheels, with a fold-down hatch that can serve as a small table.
Extra-cost options include Cruisemaster ATX airbag suspension, a Tuson ESC unit and a rear vision camera.
Signature Camper Trailers has been around since 2016 and currently offers 10 models including pop-tops, hardtop hybrids and camper trailers in its Chinese-built range.
