Do you have a spare caravan, camper trailer or motorhome and are keen to help some of the victims of Australia’s bushfire crisis?
One of Australia’s biggest peer-to-peer online RV platforms is calling on local van owners to help provide temporary accommodation solutions for bushfire impacted residents and relief workers.
Camplify, which has a few thousand RVs listed on its website, wants to build a nationwide network of Australians willing to share their vans for free with those in need.
To facilitate the process, Camplify says it will provide up to one month of free comprehensive hiring insurance to van owners that provide short-term temporary accommodation via the Camplify website for bushfire victims.
“Via the power of our community and our safe and secure platform, we’re encouraging and providing local van owners, manufacturers and dealers with the tools they need to offer temporary accommodation solutions for regional communities, families and relief workers," Camplify CEO Justin Hales said.
"With more than 680,000 RVs registered in Australia, and the average owner only able to use them for 4-6 weeks a year, we’re also hoping to reach the many vans currently in sitting storage or idle on driveways.
“We’re extremely grateful to the members of our community and local dealers who have already come forward to support and share their vans for free.”
