Sydney Supershow cancelled

NSW Caravan Supershow among outdoor shows cancelled or delayed due to virus outbreak

Some of Australia's biggest caravan, 4x4 and outdoor shows have been cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak.

Caravan & Camping NSW has announced that the NSW Caravan, Camping, RV & Holiday Supershow that was due to run at the Rosehill Racecourse in Paramatta from April 28-May 3 has been cancelled, in response to the Government-led push to help stem the spread of the virus.

"The 2020 NSW Caravan Camping Holiday Supershow has been cancelled following the Public Health Order on COVID-19 and non- essential gatherings of 500 or more persons," the NSW state body said on the show website.

"We appreciate your interest and support and look forward to seeing you at the 2021 NSW Caravan Camping Holiday Supershow".

Sydney Supershow will not run in 2020

The six-day Sydney Supershow is one of Australia's largest caravan shows, attracting up to 70,000 people and hundreds of exhibitors each year. CCIA NSW said it will be refunding paid ticket holders as well as exhibitors.

West Australia's biggest caravan show, the Perth Caravan and Camping Show, which was due to run March 18-22 at the Claremont Showgrounds, has also been cancelled.

"We appreciate that this is disappointing news for our Western Australian caravan and camping community that attend our event," the Caravan Industry Association Western Australia said in a statement.

"Patrons that have purchased tickets online will receive a full refund, and these ticket holders will be communicated by our ticketing agency Oztix with information in due course.

"We appreciate the great support and efforts of all our stakeholders, suppliers, exhibitors and sponsors in putting together this event for the Western Australian caravan and camping community to enjoy."

Brisbane 4x4 show has been postponed

The National 4x4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo, scheduled for March 27-29 at the Brisbane Showgrounds, has been postponed, with the organisers stating: "Effective immediately, ticket sales are now suspended and we are carefully working through the next steps to determine potential new dates for our event."

Rural Scene Promotions, which runs a number of caravan and camping shows in the eastern states, has postponed the Albury Wodonga Caravan Camping 4WD and Fishing Show, due to run on March 27-29. The organisers plan to hold the event at a later date.
