Ever wondered how long it takes to build a caravan? Just over five minutes, it seems, judging by a 'time lapse' video now doing the rounds on YouTube.
In reality, it took a working week to build the Concept Belmont caravan shown in the footage, but some clever editing has managed to compress five days of work into five minutes.
Founded in 2003, Concept Caravans came up with the project as a way to show customers exactly how a caravan is manufactured.
The time lapse video was put together by advertising specialists CD Media, and provides a fascinating, frame-by-frame insight into the labour-intensive construction of a traditional style, meranti framed/aluminium-bodied caravan.
The bird's-eye view images for the video were taken at 30 second intervals from September 12-16 last year, courtesy of a camera installed on 10ft-high wheeled scaffolding at Concept's factory in Somerton, Victoria.
At the end, 12 workers gather around the completed Belmont caravan with big smiles and thumbs up on a job well done.
