Caravan club continues to grow

Australian Caravan Club opens its 47th branch
Ten years after its formation, the Australian Caravan Club has established its 47th sub-branch, in Queensland’s Burnett region.
The ACC Burnett Bushies branch caters for RVers living in the Kingaroy, Nanango, Blackbutt, Wondai and Murgon regions in the south, and Gayndah, Mundubbera and Monto regions in the north.
“The establishment of the ACC Burnett Bushies brings the total number of ACC branches to 47,” said ACC Chairman Craig Humphrey.
“RVers around the country are finding that the ACC is offering its members a huge range of advantages including not only great musters and tagalongs with social and sightseeing activities, but also a number of other services such as free Farm Stays, maintenance advice and technical tips, and over 600 businesses offering member benefits,” he said.
“Our members share their RVing experiences with like-minded people at musters, in our website members’ forum and on our Facebook page.  We have an active team who advocate on issues affecting RVers to all levels of government and the RV manufacturing industry.”
Humphrey said the fast-growing club currently has around 4500 members but despite the title, is not exclusively for caravanners.
“We are the club for all RVers," he said. "We welcome owners of caravans, pop tops, motorhomes, campervans, slide-on campers, camper-trailers, and 5th wheelers without discrimination.”
The club has also been outspoken in standing up for the rights of caravan owners, who represent a growing proportion of traffic with more than 600,000 RVs currently registered in Australia.
“The bigger our club becomes, the higher the impact that we have when making representations," Humphrey said. "I encourage RVers to consider joining our club to enable the impact that we have to be even greater than it currently is.”
