Here’s your chance to own one of the latest, eye-catching caravans on the market while contributing significantly to a very worthy cause.
Majestic Caravans has donated a 2015 Knight Garoovr tandem-axle model for this year’s Good Friday Easter Appeal, which raises money for Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital.
In what surely must be a record, the Campbellfield, Victoria-based manufacturer has donated seven caravans previously to the Appeal’s online auction, raising more than $350,000.
"Majestic Caravans is very fortunate to be part of Victoria's most special charity organisation,” explained Majestic’s Liz Naumoski.
“We have been donating a caravan every year to the Good Friday appeal for the last eight years and we wish to continue this donation for many years to come.
“We chose this charity as all donations are for the children of this country, the hospital and their families. It is a wonderful cause and we are honored to be part of the contributions made to this appeal."
The 18ft 6in Knight Garoovr features a smooth-finish aluminium body and contemporary interior bristling with gadgets and trimmings. To give it a personal touch, the winning bidder can choose a matching colour for the splashback, fridge fascia, lounge piping and external stickers.
Along with a queen-sized innerspring bed, lounge/dinette, galley kitchen and full rear ensuite, the two-berth luxury caravan is loaded with features including 110Ah battery system, top loader washing machine, mini grille/cooktop and microwave, big fridge/freezer, external entertainment system, 150W solar panel and mosquito resistant LED lighting.
Valued at more than $60,000, the Majestic van is the most valuable of all auction items, which include a Mazda CX-3, kids playground package, signed Hawthorn premiership poster and George Calombaris ‘exclusive dining experience’.
Bids can be placed at the Good Friday Appeal website, but be quick as the the auction ends 9pm, April 3.
