Wanna be right in the thick of it at some of Australia's biggest camping shows and Outback festivals, but do it on the cheap?
The organisers of two of Victoria's biggest caravan shows, and the first Big Bash-style music festival around Broken Hill, are looking for volunteer as well as casual workers to ensure the events run smoothly.
Caravan Industry Victoria is seeking both casuals and volunteers to help at the upcoming Melbourne Leisurefest show at Sandown Racecourse on October 6-9, 2022., as well as the Victorian Caravan Supershow due to be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds in February 2023.
Meanwhile, volunteers are also being called on to help stage what is being dubbed Outback NSW’s biggest ever live music event – the Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash.
Kicking off on August 18, the three-day family and dog-friendly camping festival will feature a bumper line-up of Aussie music icons including Midnight Oil, Jimmy Barnes, Missy Higgins and Kasey Chambers, as well as a slew of off-stage entertainment and outback activities including several wild and wacky world record attempts.
Staged on the iconic Mundi Mundi Plains, the festival is expected to draw around 9000 revellers.
The Mundi Mundi Bash is currently looking to fill volunteer vacancies across a range of event teams, including road marshals, set-up and pack-down and 'dancing dunny angels'.
Volunteers can nominate to complete their shift with friends and family, and in line with a particular skill set or area of interest. Depending on the team, time-commitments start from as little as 13 hours.
