Staff were kept busy with a steady stream of visitors enquiring about caravan parts and accessories, including Waeco and Engel products that were out on show.
Retail sales manager Karen Turner said that the significantly expanded floor space had allowed Camec to increase the range of products on display.
Members of the local vintage caravan community were invited to park their classic cars and vintage vans on the lawn in front of the showroom, where they attracted a lot of attention. Camec also provided a free sausage sizzle and soft drinks, which was tirelessly manned by state manager Glen Young.
The weather was unusually cool and showery for early summer, but that didn’t dampen anyone’s enthusiasm. Camec staff, visitors and the vintage vanners all rated it a great day out.
