Bushtracker celebrates 30th anniversary

Esteemed Queensland custom builder rolls out very special 19ft couple's show 'van to mark three decade milestone

Queensland's Bushtracker Caravans is celebrating its 30th year of manufacturing with the release of a unique 'show' 'van loaded up with extras, including at least a couple of features never seen before on a Bushtracker.

Unveiled last month at the annual Bushtracker Owners Muster at Barmera in South Australia, the special 30th Anniversary 19ft couple's tandem-axle model features a new metallic silver colour for the shiny fibreglass bodywork, instead of the usual Bushtracker reflective white exterior.

The 30th Anniversary Bushtracker also gets an optional ($8760) remote-controlled 1000W solar electric roll-out awning, like the type first displayed down under in 2024.

When used in conjunction with the 1400W fixed rooftop solar panels, Bushtracker says it's enough in sunny conditions to keep the 624Ah lithium battery system with 3000W inverter topped up all day, even while running the on-board appliances which include a dual induction cooktop, 4-in-1 convection microwave. 3.5kW rooftop air conditioner, 2.5kg wall mounted washing machine, and a 224L compressor fridge/freezer.

The 19ft 'van also gets Cruisemaster's top-spec ATX with BCS auto levelling air bag suspension and DO-45 coupling, an electric jockey wheel, recovery boards, a bike carrier, inside/outside TVs, an outdoor kitchen and shower, twin 12V fans, a diesel water and space heater, and three 90L fresh water tanks with inline water purifier, plus a grey water tank.

A classy couple's layout includes a front north-south bed, an L-shaped dining area and a galley with stone benchtop, pantry and slide-out coffee machine, with the rear ensuite also fitted with a 12V heated towel rail, composting toilet and a shower cubicle with dual drain holes and digital temperature control.

Other highlights include Bushtracker's latest 'rounded corner' cabinetry in the kitchen, bathroom and around the bed, and dimmable LED strip lighting, along with regular Bushtracker features like the 'watertight' entry door and drawbar mounted spare wheel.

A Tare weight of 2920kg and 4000kg ATM delivers a decent payload of 1080kg.

All up the 30th Anniversary show 'van comes in at $245,700, and like other Bushtracker show 'vans custom built by the low-volume Kunda Park, Queensland manufacturer,  will no doubt hit the market once it's run the show circuit in 2026.

Meanwhile, Bushtracker isn't the only Aussie RV manufacturer celebrating its 30th anniversary, with Ballina, NSW-based Horizon Motorhomes also marking three decades in the business in 2025.
