BruderX launches fourth expedition camper

New BruderX EXP-7 pop-top and hard-top expedition trailers priced from $258,500

Queensland RV manufacturer BruderX has launched a fourth model in its range of extreme off-grid expedition campers and caravans.

Available in pop-top and hard-top variants, the new 19ft 2in (5.76m body length) BruderX EXP-7 is priced from $258,500 and sits between the EXP-6 and range-topping EXP-8 in the BruderX expedition trailer line-up, all built at Bruder's Brisbane factory.

BruderX EXP-7 PT (pop-top) variant

Blending elements from both the EXP-6 and EXP-8 models, the new EXP-7 camper features a door on both sides and measures 7.0m long and 1.92m wide overall. Travel height is around 2.3m-2.5m depending on the variant, and both EXP-7 variants have a Tare of 2400kg and ATM of 3500kg.

Bruder says the EXP-7's laser cut, fully sealed steel chassis "is part of the new range of chassis design".

"Making the chassis lighter and encapsulating the inherent strength of the body it creates an immensely strong platform for extreme durability and extended life cycle," the Brisbane manufacturer says.

Like other BruderX models the new tandem axle EXP-7 rides on a patented air suspension system that helps deliver up to 650mm ground clearance and boasts nearly three times more usable wheel travel than other dual axle off-road trailers, according to BruderX.

Body construction is "60mm thick marine grade, closed-cell, quad weave, epoxy bonded composite throughout".

A comfy interior delivers sleeping and seating for up to six people, including a main queen bed, couch and fold-up seat, adjustable table, inside/outside kitchen, and an ensuite with toilet, basin, shower and storage.

The two-way kitchen with roller door features a sink with mixer tap and water filter, and a portable induction cooktop, plus there's a slide-out kitchen for additional storage. There's also a 60L external fridge and an 139L internal fridge.

A rear hatch provides access to electronics and further storage, and there's a powered awning fitted on each side of the trailer.
