Motorhome rental company Britz, has added a fleet of Volkswagen Amarok-based campers to its Safari range of 4WD vehicles.
Perfect for self-drive holidays into remote regions of Australia, the dual cab ute campers will comfortably seat five people and are powered by a 120kW/400Nm 2.0-litre, turbodiesel engine with six-speed manual gearbox.
Fitted with an ARB canopy, the rear load area has been kitted out for all your camping needs with Black Widow slide-out drawers, slide-out 40 litre Engel fridge, portable gas stove, integrated table, camping stools, and cooking and eating utensils.
There’s also a free-standing, five-person tent, sleeping bags and mats, plus an awning which provides weather protection on one side of the camper. For recharging appliances there’s a 12V battery and socket, and freshwater supplies are covered by a 32 litre in-built tank with external tap.
Two Black Widow roof racks are also fitted for carrying luggage or other bulky items during your off-road adventures.
“The Amarok is an exciting addition to Britz’s Safari 4WD range, which boasts the ultimate adventure vehicles," said Britz brand manager, Sharron Clark.
“The Amarok’s introduction fittingly coincides with the start of 4WD season, and as such we are predicting a surge in trips to the adventurer's paradise – the Top End – in the coming months."
With a five star ANCAP safety rating, the Amarok also comes equipped with ESP, off-road ABS, Hill Hold Assist and Hill Descent Assist, plus you can engage 4x4 high and low with a simple click of a button.
