The Queensland importer of Elddis caravans and Auto Trail motorhomes has added another British brand to its stable of imported RVs.
Gold Coast-based Elite RV is now the official Australian distributor for Eterniti Caravans, which is less than 12 months old and only sold its first van in March.
Elite RV will initially sell the range-topping Genesis slide-out model, available with two rear ensuite layouts. Claimed to be "the lightest twin axle slide-out in Australia" the 22ft 11in (6.99m) van boasts a Tare weight of 1778kg and 2099kg ATM.
A Thermashield construction method is used to build Eterniti vans, utilising aluminium and styrofoam sandwich panels for improved insulation and strength.
To better suit Australian conditions, Eterniti caravans sold here will feature factory upgrades including a strengthened chassis for bigger payloads, 90mm more ground clearance, 90 litre underslung water tank, and upgraded brakes and tyres.
Priced from $84,900, Australian-spec models will also be fitted with a Truma air-conditioner and Fiamma awning as standard. Equivalent models in the UK sell for around £25,000 ($42,000).
Elite RV director Darren Nye believes the Genesis models' 'eazzzzzy' slide-out system, that adds around five square metres of internal space, combined with lightweight, durable build quality will be a hit with Aussie buyers.
“Eterniti offer so much more than a standard caravan and the extra space that’s provided from having a slide allows different layouts to be created and more opportunity for innovation within the caravan,” he said.
Launched in October 2012, Cheshire-based Eterniti is Britain's newest caravan manufacturer and recently hit the news after some teething issues on early production vans.
The first Eterniti demonstration vans are set to arrive in Australia in September, and Elite RV is currently taking orders.
Eterniti is the fourth British caravan brand to officially go on sale in Australia over the last two years, following Bailey, Swift and Elddis. The UK's Coachman Caravans is also considering setting up shop Down Under.
