Brazen thieves caught on camera stealing luxury caravans

$50,000 reward offered for the recovery of two Prime Edge caravans worth $300,000 stolen from the Melbourne factory

A Melbourne RV manufacturer which had two potentially uninsured customer caravans worth around $300,000 stolen from its factory yard, is offering a $50,000 cash reward to get them back.

Prime Edge Caravans has posted a seven minute video on Youtube, that shows CCTV footage of the brazen break-and-enter operation that resulted in the theft of two brand-new caravans built by the nine-year old Epping, Victoria-based manufacturer.

The top-shelf 'vans were stolen in the early hours of Monday morning (July 7) at the Prime Edge factory at 18 Constance Court in Epping, after the alleged offenders "cut the bollards" at the entrance to the property and returned later to hitch up and tow the vans away, Prime Edge co-owner Vlad Suplinovski told Yahoo News.

"We are working closely with the police and have been gathering all available CCTV footage from the surrounding area," Prime Edge posted on its Facebook page.

He said the caravans are custom-built and easily recognisable, and include a dark grey 18ft Prime Edge Warrior and a dark silver Prime Edge Odyssey.

Both vans are likely to have minor damage after hits to the building and a rubbish bin on the way out. A white Toyota Corolla and dark blue Landcruiser 200 series were also seen in the CCTV footage during the robbery.

Prime Edge is desperate to retrieve the caravans, as it's believed the insurance won't cover theft of property located outside the locked building. The family business is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the recovery of either 'van.

"If you have any information or recognise the voices heard in the footage, please contact Crime Stoppers or Epping Police Station immediately. Your support means everything right now," Suplinovski said.
