Bigger Caraboat hits the water

New 8.7m long floating caravan breaks cover at Sanctuary Cove

NSW company Caraboat has revealed its latest model, the 870, at the 2019 Sanctuary Cove International Boat show on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Enlarged from the popular 7500 series model introduced around four years ago, the company's latest caravan/cruiser houseboat has an improved, restyled interior and more spacious living areas.

Tow the Caraboat 870 to the boat ramp or caravan park

Designed to operate in sheltered waters, the Caraboat 870 sleeps four adults and comes with all the amenities of a road-going caravan, including hot and cold running water, toilet/shower compartment, fridge/freezer, galley, lots of comfy lounge seating, and full standing headroom throughout.

There's even a rear deck for you to sit, nurse a cold drink and watch the sun go down.

Powering the Caraboat 870 is a pair of Suzuki 50hp four-stroke outboard engines.

Pricing for the original Caraboat starts around $140,000, so expect the new bigger model to be priced north of that.
