Big family bunker from Avida
NSW manufacturer releases new 22ft caravan with the lot including triple bunk bedsBig family bunk caravans are all the rage right now, and one of the latest to arrive is this 22ft Emerald tandem-axle model from NSW-based Avida RV.
Along with the obligatory separate shower and toilet, the range-topping family van includes a well-equipped kitchen with microwave and 190L fridge/freezer, plus the choice of a dinette or L-shaped lounge and queen size (1520mm width) bed or single beds.
Families can also choose from three bunk beds or two bunks with a bottom lounge.
Storage options include a front tunnel boot, overhead cupboards, a slide-out pantry and under the lift-up front bed.
Like all Avida caravans, the Emerald family van is built using “dent and hail resistant” sandwich panel construction for the floor, walls and roof, hot dipped galvanised chassis and metal underfloor finish and is backed by a three year factory and five year structural guarantee.
Pricing for the Avida Emerald CV 7236 model starts at $68,490 for the leaf-sprung double bunk van, with the triple bunk version costing an extra $1000.
The top-spec version with Explorer pack including off-road independent coil suspension, external hot/cold shower and 160W solar panels, costs $79,490.
Tare weights range between 2300kg and 2550kg, depending on specification.
