Barossa park splashes out

South Australia’s Barossa Valley the latest region to get a caravan park waterpark
A famous wine region in South Australia is about to get a new family-friendly tourist attraction: one of the biggest caravan park waterparks in Australia.
The Discovery Parks-run holiday park in the Barossa Valley will open the fancy new splash park aimed at younger kids on December 19, and at 500 square metres it will be one of the biggest of its type down under.
Not only that but the designers have ditched the usual blue and aqua colour scheme for ‘vineyard’ style colours of purple and green. The waterpark will have five different splash zones, two slides and hundreds of jets and sprays.
It will also get the environmental tick of approval, thanks to a ‘zero depth splash pad’, to help minimise water evaporation. What’s more, the water will be recycled back into a balance tank where it will be treated and reused,
To celebrate the opening of the splash park, the Tanunda-based holiday park is offering a two night special deal on all camp sites where kids stay free. The offer is only valid between December 16-19. Click here for more.
