Baby Exodus completes hybrid range

Complete Campsite to unveil new Tvan rival, the Exodus 9, at this week’s Bendigo Leisurefest

Visitors to this week-end’s Bendigo Leisurefest in Victoria will be among the first to lay eyes on Complete Campsite’s new baby off-road caravan.

The NSW-built Exodus 9 is a shorter, narrower and cheaper alternative to Complete Campsite’s larger Exodus 11 and Exodus 14 hardtop camper models, and is being pitched as a direct rival to Track Trailer’s Tvan as well as the

Vista RV Crossover, which also offer hard-walled ‘glamping’ in a compact, lightweight, full off-road package.

The Exodus 9 has similar measurements to the Vista, at 4.75m long overall, 1.83m wide and 2.25m high when set up. Like the Crossover its pop-top roof allows occupants to stand up inside its compact interior, which also includes a queen sized bed with innerspring mattress, removable swivel dinette table with seating for two, and various storage compartments including space for a portable toilet.

Outside, a large, stainless steel kitchen slides out and swings around to reveal a three burner stove, sink with hot/cold mixer tap and pantry area.

Equipped with Cruisemaster independent suspension, 12in off-road brakes, Hitchmaster DO-35 coupling, Rhino body protection, automotive water and dust sealing and marine carpets, the stylish fibreglass camper is set up for serious bush bashing and Outback travel.

Pricing starts at $49,950, but the display model at Bendigo is optioned up with $10,000 worth of extras including a larger, fully moulded fibreglass front storage box, slide-out 82-litre fridge/freezer, external slide-out stainless steel pantry, diesel hot water and ducted heating system, external ensuite, and beefed up electrics including two, 105Ah AGM batteries, Redarc battery management system and two, 120W roof mounted solar panels.

The options add 250kg to the Tare weight, which is 1350kg on the display model, while GVM is 2000kg. The ball weight is also heavier, at 120kg.

"All Complete Campsite products are designed and built to the manufacturing standard we call ’Rugged Refinement’ and the Exodus 9 is no different," said Complete Campsite director Jodie Joyce.

"It’s shorter and a little bit narrower than the award winning Exodus 11 and the standard equipment make it very competitive with similar sized products. There is an extensive range of optional extras for those looking for a little more added luxury."
