Sydney's Avida is kicking off its 60th anniversary celebrations in 2025, with a special extended warranty and roadside assistance offer to customers.
The limited-time deal, which Avida says is an RV-industry first, consists of a five years' (60 months) time frame covering a number of after-sales provisions including the factory-backed, structural and chassis warranties, roadside assistance, and capped price servicing.
Avida is also planning to release a range of '60th Anniversary' LX Models (LX is roman numerals for 60) next year which will boast higher spec levels and unique features, as well as include a new off-road variant.
"The company will launch no fewer than five new ranges and 11 new models as part of its 60-year celebrations, including the highly anticipated Explorer LX 4×4 off-grid campervan, for the more adventurous traveller," Avida’s Sales & Marketing Manager, Billy Falconer said.
One of Australia's oldest RV manufacturers, Avida is celebrating 60 years of continuous operation in 2025. The Sydney factory built motorhomes in Australia under the famous Winnebago name up until around 10 years ago, before being forced to change to an Avida-branded range of campervans and motorhomes.
"As the longest-serving motorhome manufacturer in Australia that is still in the hands of the original family, Avida has grown from a single slide-on camper designed in a garage in 1965 into the powerhouse it is, in the RV industry today," he said.
Avida is also about to launch a new, updated website with an 'industry-first' state-of-the-art virtual showroom, and is planning to host a number of special customer events at Avida dealerships across Australia and New Zealand, throughout the year.
"This milestone celebration is an exciting time for Avida, and we look forward to celebrating with our customers, and our dealer network throughout Australia and New Zealand, who have all been an integral part of our journey."
Meanwhile, Avida has previously said it's also planning to introduce a new range of caravans, after offering a number of hard roof and pop-top models in the past, although it's yet to announce a launch date for any new towable models.
