Sydney manufacturer Avida has given its popular Fiat Ducato-based Birdsville motorhome a freshen up for 2021.
Available in high and low Luton peak versions, the 2021-model Avida Birdsville gets a mini-makeover inside and out, including fresh exterior stick-ons and some design tweaks to the Fiat chassis and fibreglass motorhome body.
"The new rear has a modern look, with rounded roof and striking new decals to match," said Avida RV Sales & Marketing Manager Billy Falconer.
While the mid-range model's basic layout stays the same -- front cafe dinette, central kitchenette, slide-out east-west queen bed and full width rear ensuite -- the 2021-model Birdsville benefits from some decor and equipment upgrades including a redesigned and upholstered control panel above the entrance door, and a redesigned kitchen with extra drawer, large pantry and more cupboard space along with a new induction/gas cooktop.
Avida has also 'modernised' the fold-down kitchen bench extension while moving the internal entry handle to the left side of the door.
Other interior enhancements include new mood lighting, fully upholstered dinette seating and roller instead of venetian blinds for the windows.
There's also redesigned storage space around the bed including a new wardrobe, and the bed-facing entertainment unit which now includes a Bluetooth radio, Smart TV and USB/240V outlets, has been updated.
The rear bathroom design has also been tweaked with the addition of "a single door below the bench to store all your toiletry items".
Priced from $146,490 plus on-road costs, both 7.39m long and 4400kg GVM rated 2021-updated Birdsville models can be driven on a car licence and come with a long list of standard equipment including 120 litre fresh and 120 litre grey water tanks, two 4kg gas bottles, 100Ah AGM battery and charger, air-conditioner, microwave, roll-out awning, electric entry step and reverse camera.
