Avan unveils fresh interiors

Australian caravan, camper and motorhome manufacturer Avan showcased a fresh interior update on select caravan models at the recent 2024 Victorian Caravan & Camping Supershow at the Melbourne Showgrounds.

Billed by the big-selling Melbourne RV manufacturer as its Urban Range, buyers now have a choice of four new interior colour palettes within the Avan Aspire and Golf Tourer lines, with the update to encompass Golf Savannah and Avan motorhome models in the near future.

While word of the update first appeared at Melbourne’s Leisurefest event last October, the recent Supershow marked the first public appearance of the updated Aspire and Golf Tourer 620-2. Priced from $92,490, the model is in fact a new entrant to the Golf Tourer range, which also falls under the Avan umbrella.

With the Avan Aspire on show in Melbourne bedecked in a new grey exterior scheme with fresh decals, the updated interior sports the Urban Range’s new Forest Green palette. Customers can also choose from Scandi Green, Lana Grey, or Dove Grey.

“So we have new benchtops, new cabinetry all the way through, everything’s changed – the only thing that hasn’t changed is the floor, that’s it,” Avan spokesperson Chevy Chessells told caravancampingsales.

“We’ve got it [the new Urban Range colours] in Aspire, we’ve got it in Golfs, and we’re going to do it in motorhomes as well, we just haven’t got them yet. We have it in the Golf Tourer at the moment, then it will go to the Golf Savannah as well.”

A couple of the updated Aspire models were previously shown at last year’s Leisurefest event, but those models were yet to receive the exterior treatment.

The Golf Tourer 620-2 on display at the Supershow, which also features the new Scandi Green interior scheme, was in fact a pre-production model. Marking its public debut, the model on show sported a grey exterior decal, whereas the full production model’s exterior will be painted in grey.

And like the Aspire on hand at the Supershow, the new Golf Tourer 620-2 adopts one of the four new interior colour palettes available through Avan’s Urban Range list.

Elsewhere on the Avan stand was the brand’s Fiat Ducato-based Applause 600-4, the first of Avan’s compact motorhome models to feature a pop-up roof, enabling the van to sleep up to four. The model is priced from $150,990.
