One of Australia's biggest and most impressive new RV dealerships has opened its doors in South Australia.
The new state-of-the-art Jayco Adelaide dealership was built from the ground up on a 20,000 square metres-plus greenfields site along Adelaide's busy West Beach Road, and not far from one of the best caravan parks in the state, BIG4 Holiday Park West Beach.
Boasting around 4000sq.m of floorspace in total, the expansive new cutting-edge facility brings all aspects of the Jayco Adelaide operation under the one roof, including sales, servicing, finance, accessories and repairs.
Adopting 'best practice' design and customer service gleaned from dealerships around the world including the USA and Canada, the new Jayco Adelaide headquarters includes sealed and grassy indoor and outdoor display areas, a large reception, customer lounge and office area, and an extensive retail accessories area including all the latest gear from Coast to Coast RV and ARB which can also be fitted on-site.
A colossal, purpose-built workshop and service facility includes dedicated sections for pre-delivery, service and vehicle fitment, with all the latest equipment including hoists for both tow vehicles and caravans, and a jib crane for maneuvering roof and body panels during major repairs.
The mega-dealership also includes an Education Centre to deliver both in-house staff training as well as towing and other courses for consumers. There's also a central storeroom and parts area, along with dedicated space on-site for storing up to 60 vans for customers.
More than double the size of the previous retail and service facilities, the new Jayco Adelaide complex was described by Jayco Australia founder Gerry Ryan as "one of the world's best practice dealerships".
"This state of the art RV complex is yet another example of the renewed confidence in enterprise that people have in South Australia," Ryan said at the official opening.
"Jayco has set a new benchmark in innovation and customer experience and I'm confident that Jayco Adelaide will continue to grow strongly with this great state," he said.
The family-run Jayco outlet started out in 1987 as a small garage in Adelaide selling Windsor caravans, before becoming a Jayco dealer a couple of years later under the Australian Caravan Co. banner.
