ARB gets you out of trouble

Looking for a last minute Christmas present for the four-wheel driver in your life? ARB may have just the thing, with some great new gear released just in time for the gift-giving season.

For owners of the recently updated Toyota HiLux ute, ARB has developed a range of accessories including deluxe bull bars, under vehicle protection and recovery points, canopies, Air Lockers and a range of Old Man Emu suspension options.

The deluxe bull bar is available for winch and non-winch applications, and finished in black powder coat with the option of colour coding to your HiLux.

It incorporates twin Hi-Lift jacking points, as well as provision for IPF lights and CB aerials. A cheaper, commercial version of the bullbar is also available.

The underbody protection panels are manufactured from laser cut steel and designed to protect the tough Toyota's vital components such as the steering, sump, transmission and transfer case.

Painted red so you can't miss it, the recovery point system for the HiLux is a safer alternative to the original factory tow point, according to ARB. It comes with a recommended 8000kg strap and specific shackle,

The range of canopies for the HiLux include the streamlined Sprint model, which is an alternative to a traditional canopy with its fastback design and quick release mechanism.

For those planning to hit the really rough stuff, an Old Man Emu replacement suspension system and front and rear Air Lockers (activated by a flick of a switch in the cabin) are also available for the Thai-built workhorse.

ARB has also developed specific recovery points for other off-road vehicles including the latest Mazda BT-50, Ford Ranger, Nissan GU Patrol and Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series.

Fully tested and developed specifically for each vehicle, the recovery points all have a recommended rated bow shackle of 4.75 tonnes, paired with an 8000kg rated snatch strap.

Finally, as a cheaper gift option, ARB has released an LED rechargeable version of its portable 4x4 adventure light.

Each light comes with a 12V DC cigarette lighter adaptor charge lead and a 240V/300mA AC charger/adaptor, and is powered by a cordless rechargeable battery with a running time of up to 4.5 hours. 

Each of the 60 individual LED lights has a life expectancy of 50,000 hours. The unit also incorporates a hook and a magnet for two, hands-free options
