Give your four-wheel-drive a race car feel with new high-performance bypass shock absorbers from ARB.
Part of the Australian company’s Old Man Emu suspension range, the new BP-51 shock absorbers were four years in development and bring “racing technology to everyday applications".
According to ARB the BP-51 (bypass 51mm diameter bore) shock absorbers feature revolutionary, patent pending technology developed to deliver unparalleled on and off road performance.
“Developed and tested extensively in some of Australia’s most rugged environments, these big bore, position sensitive bypass shock absorbers with
remote reservoir are designed to be fitted without any need for vehicle modification, combining considerable ride comfort around town with significant amounts of end-zone damping for exceptional chassis control and handling off road,” ARB said in a press release.
The shock absorber and coil over assemblies will be priced at $550 and $845 each respectively (Australian east coast metro areas), with vehicle specific fitting kits at an additional cost.
Initially, they’ll only be available for Toyota 200 Series and HiLux (2005-) in limited quantities from early 2015, with kits for other vehicles to be rolled out in the months following.
