Volkswagen’s beefy new load lugger not tough enough for you?
ARB has come to the rescue with a range of accessories designed to further increase the Amarok ute’s practicality and off-road abilities, including bull bars, Old Man Emu suspension, canopies, Air Locker and roof racks.
The combination bar for the South American-built Amarok incorporates ARB’s multi-fold wing design and is said to provide "an enormous amount of frontal protection". It’s equally suited to winch and non-winch applications, and is able to accommodate a Warn winch up to 9500lb.
Other features include twin Hi-Lift jacking points, provision for twin CB aerials and IPF driving lights, injection moulded housings with turn signals and optional fog lights, and compatibility with original equipment tow points and air bags.
Alternatively, Amarok owners can opt for an ARB Sahara bar which incorporates many of the deluxe bull bar's features, including an SRS compatible mounting system and strong split pan design.
The ARB canopy for the Amarok is a mid roof version allowing extra headroom and carrying capacity, and comes with either smooth or grained exterior and with a choice of sliding front or lift-up window. Other options include lift-up side ‘windoors’ and the fitment of an ARB canopy roof bar system with 100kg carrying capacity.
A range of fully integrated Old Man Emu off-road suspension systems is also available for the Amarok, as is a rear Air Locker for improved traction across difficult terrain. ARB roof racks are also available.
ARB is also developing other accessories for the new ute, including side rails and steps, rear step tow bars, sport lid and under vehicle protection.
