ARB Ascent canopy

New factory-look canopy with integrated remote locking function available for Mazda/Ford ute twins

ARB has released a swish new canopy option for owners of the latest generation Ford Ranger and Mazda BT-50 dual cab utes.

According to the leading 4WD aftermarket specialist, the new Ascent canopy is a “fully featured, ultra-premium” unit featuring “class leading aesthetics and technological advancements”.

The vacuum formed ABS canopy features a new ‘vanishing edge shell design’, for a neater fit between vehicle tray and canopy. While adding to the clean, upmarket appearance are frameless, tinted windows, an ‘invisible’ hinge system and unique rear spoiler with LED brake light.

A fully integrated remote central locking system utilises the existing vehicle key remote, so owners can lock and unlock the canopy as they would the vehicle (or manually if the car battery goes flat).

An optional trade rack is also available in either steel or aluminium, while internal support brackets also enable fitment of Thule or Rhino cross bars to carry up to 100kg of gear on the roof.

Pricing is around the $2500-$3000 mark (depending on retail outlet and not including fitting).

ARB says the Ascent canopy will be available for other dual-cab models in coming months.
